More Dining Out... Singapore, January 2008

The last 2 days in Singapore seems to be more of a gastronomical journey than a work one - From lunch at Les Amis to dinner at Min Jiang at Goodwood Park Hotel to lunch the following day at Mezza9 at Grand Hyatt.... too bad no pictures

At Min Jiang, we had drunken chicken and fried whitebait for appetiser, sharksfin soup, fried cod with spicy soya sauce, stirfried asparagus with lobster, salted egg yolk prawns, succulent coffee pork ribs and fresh fruits. All these with lots of Australian white and Italian red wine.

Then we finished off with a few rounds of drinks at Royal Plaza Hotel (I only had a peach bellini and a glass of champagne).

At Mezza9 for lunch the next day with Japanese clients, we had lovely tomato bruschetta as appetiser. I had their lobster noodles set which came with herbal chicken soup (chock-full of dried shiitake and conpoy) and baby bok choi topped with more dried conpoy (this time, fried crispy). The set came with dessert of mango, pomelo and coco de nata pudding. I was being very good by having sparkling...water with a slice of lime while the others had beer.

Instead of dinner as my flight was to be at 9.30pm, thus leaving insufficient time for a meal, we hit Long Bar at Raffles Hotel after work for 2 rounds of Singapore Sling (some had the beer).... I came home and was hungry and had a plate of ....... instant noodles for dinner..... it was actually very good!
Singapore Sling
Super tall beer

Thankfully, it's a public holiday in Malaysia today.
